Error with credit card

I get an error when attempting to make a purchase with credit card.

Error message: 3ds-could-not-be-completed-by-issue Error code: 988

What can I do to fix this?

Edit: I think it was something to do with my card, used a different one and got it to go through.

It was an issue with my card(it was being denied) so I used a different one
