Arc Raiders - What do you think?

From a gamer OR cheaters perspective I'm interested to hear peoples thoughts on Arc Raider?  I played the game during beta (with hacks) and had an OK time, but honestly it got a little boring after just a few matches.  Part of me thinks it's because I was locked on the one map.  I guess I just wasn't really feeling like there was much to explore and the unlock path didn't feel exciting.

 

What do people think?  Does it get better?  Is anyone just having a blast?  I'm really trying to convince myself I think.

Been loving the game. Just got the cheese and about to try it out.

same here. 

I love the graphics and the gameplay. Especially the gun handling and the somewhat sluggish movements like gun draw are great without getting too deep into the simulation part.

 

But I am curious what Embark is going to do content wise. I saw a hint regarding PvE game modes. Even though I can see the problem that catering to everybody will inevitably kill the game like Dune but the more casual non PvP focused people will see the general behavior shift leaning towards more hostile encounters as it usually does when people are settled in and have accuired a certain amount of skill points and loot. If they care less about loosing loot they will engage in PvP more.
We will see how it develops.

ah...have to mention it. The outfits are horrible and expensive. I don't mind a scrappy cyberpunky style but the shit they got in there is just revolting.

Review after 3 days or non stop playing - up to 45hrs now 🤣

Honestly, for me its great. Progression seems somewhat slow-ish but it is to be expected so I keep going in for more. You honestly will get burnt out pretty quick just following quests. I have started to take "breaks" and go on some chill sight seeing/ looting, setting my own goals, gathering more basic resources and It has been pretty therapeutic for me lol. Staying afar and watching ppl kill each other have been pretty fun too. The friendly interactions are amazingly chill, I had a run yesterday where i helped a guy find stuff to complete his quests and whatever. 

Stop trying to minmax stuff if you are, lots of video are going to tell you the "right" way to play, and honestly that sucks the fun out of the game. I had fun yesterday bringing in the hullcracker and just killing every arc i see, popping raider flares to attract and talk to people. Game is very open-ended on what you can have fun with it.
