With Cheats, I’m Almost 17 Again

Greetings,

 

I’m a 40-something gamer whose reflexes retired sometime around the Xbox 360 era. These days, cheats are my time machine — with them, I can almost reach my adolescent skill level… minus the energy drinks and questionable life choices.

 

 I don't cheat to ruin anyone’s fun, just trying to relive mine. Anyone else embracing a little digital “performance enhancement” to feel young again?

Totally agree and understand with that. Sometimes I just need the little edge to make me feel some "fun" instead of getting domed and kill form nowhere in every new shooter these days. 

If you haven't yet, try to find some coop or single player games to sit and chill sometimes. Its really therapeutic. Im currently obsessed with Ostranauts. Its abt you being in dystopian world, working your ass off to pay off debt. It has the dwarf fortress-ish rpg story telling with somewhat unique gameplay. I have sunk hundreds of hours there.

this is exactly why I do it.

Because I cant stay up until 4am drinking mountain dew and crushing family sized bags of doritos playing mw2 anymore.

As times catching us I think we all end up feeling this way in some form or another, definetley makes the experience less "sucky" when jamming online as an older gamer. Reliving the glory days is always a great Nostalgic time 🦾
